This is the 6th HILT workshop, and will focus on the growing importance of =
large-scale, highly parallel, distributed and/or cloud applications.

The workshop will be part of SPLASH 2020 Conference, on November 15-20. The=
 conference is tentatively planned to take place in Chicago, but may be hos=
ted virtually, or a combination thereof, depending on the evolution of the =
COVID-19 pandemic.=20

We are currently accepting proposals for presentations, due by September 4t=
h. The workshop program committee will select presentations and organize th=
em into sessions.

Attendees wishing to present at the workshop should prepare extended abstra=
cts (approx. 2-4 pages) for the proposed presentations. Full papers (6-8 pa=
ges) are also acceptable.=20

of structured parallel and/or distributed applications (e.g. Rust, Concurre=
nt Collections, Ada 202X, Parsl)

and machine learning workloads (e.g. TensorFlow, Apache Spark)

=E2=80=A2 Practical tools for applying static analysis and formal methods t=
o parallel and/or distributed/cloud applications (e.g. SPARKProver, Java Pa=
thfinder)

=E2=80=A2 Underlying Portability Frameworks to support higher level capabil=
ities (e.g. OpenMP, OpenACC, OpenCL, MPI)

=E2=80=A2 Key technologies to bring high-performance computing to more trad=
itional programming environments (e.g. advanced IRs supporting parallelism =
and heterogeneity such as MLIR and Tapir/LLVM)
