But it's true, aficionados of niche languages are better read than the average developer. Average developers learn about one language in school, usually the most popular language of the time. Then they find a position working in that language, and don't learn another until forced to by the market. Great developers know a lot of languages, and pick one appropriate for the job. Still, not many of them seem to be picking Ada.
