My offer of adding maintenance documentation was apparently rejected because
it was felt not to be necessary. That is more or less what I said in my
previous message.

If I were to write a package with a different interface, it would be adding
to the choice between SAX and DOM (use XML/Ada) and something else. It
wouldn't be breaking the well-known interfaces in any event, and if it was
better, then it would be better!
