This is incredible on itself considering how much happened in the last half of century: distributed computing, multiple cores, virtualization, GPUs and vectorized computing, hundreds of generations of GUI, total overhaul of all hardware I/O interfaces, security and consistency challenges yet nothing could disturb the serenity of OS API. -- Regards, Dmitry A.
