I realize this is conceptual, not code, but this is not Ada-83 like. In
Ada 95, you can declare an access type to have convention C:
type Str_Ptr is access all String;
pragma Convention (C, Str_Ptr);
Str_Ptr will be a pointer in the C sense. In Ada 83, System.Address and
'Address is usually appropriate.
