When you work with naked Git you must have as many copies as you have projects. Same applies to virtual machines and dockers. It is a huge overhead for nothing. Inasmuch as versions are subject to business, software configuration management is just work that requires resources for to get it done. Problem solved. (Well, not for the small shop on a budget, granted.) To what extent can static linking make B.1 and B.2 exist on the same system?
