Where can I get a reasonably up to date list of validated Ada
compilers? FTP pointers, e-mail pointers, and snail-mail pointers are
all fine, or just mail it to me if it's on line. Thanks in advance.

The list is updated monthly and put in the public directory on
ajpo.sei.cmu.edu, for anonymous ftp. There is a WEALTH of Ada-related
documents and other stuff on that machine, and they don't discourage
anonymous ftp to it. I suggest you go in at night when the network is
quiet.

makey@VisiCom.COM (Jeff Makey) asks where to get a list of validated Ada
compilers.
The Ada Information Clearinghouse (AdaIC) is supported by AJPO and is
authoritative. They publish the AdaIC Newsletter quarterly which
contains such a list in every (or most) issue. They also have other
news of interest to those in the community. The cost is right: free.
Send requests to
Ada Information Clearinghouse
c/o IIT Research Institute
4600 Forbes Boulevard
Lanham MD 20706-4320
or call 800-Adaic-11 or 703-685-1477. They may be able to point you to
an online list.
Ada Letters also contains a listing. This is the publication of ACM's
SIGAda and comes out 8 or 9 times per year. If your interest in Ada is
at all serious, you should be an ACM/SIGAda member.

Special thanks to Michael Feldman <mfeldman@cs.washington.edu>, who
was the only person to actually mail the complete 100K byte list to
me. He says it is available from ajpo.sei.cmu.edu via anonymous FTP.
Matthias Suilmann <suilmann@cci.de> suggests sending an e-mail message
to "adafaq@east.pima.edu" with a subject line that says "SEND COMPILER LIST"
in order to have the current list automatically e-mailed back to yourself.
Mark Dow <dow@pogo.den.mmc.com> says that each issue of the Ada
Information Clearinghouse Newsletter has the list, and that you can
get a free subscription by contacting

COBARRUVIAS@asd2.jsc.nasa.gov also provided the Ada Information
Clearinghouse phone number.
Thanks to all.
