Does not TAE (The Applications Executive) do exactly this?  I do not have a
point of contact as the last time I called them (early last year) they were
unwilling to make the system available.  Since that time I have spoken with
people at NPS and they have said that the TAE people are not "just a bunch
of Unix flakes"...
