GPS is just the IDE. The compiler is GNAT. On Windows grab the Ming
package from:

http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=2435

get MinGW-3.2.0-rc-3.exe.

And GPS 2.1.0 from Libre web page: http://libre.adacore.com/gps

The newest one is only available as source - and that's not suitable for
beginners. You find download/install instruction for may platforma here:

Including a link to the instructions for advance users which want to upgrade
to the newest version ;-) .
