Since the Janus compiler for the PC was mentioned, I thought it might
worth noting that R&R is pricing their C-Pak (basic compiler/linker/library
package) at $99.95 on a short term basis. This usually carries a $500
price tag.

I'm not with R&R - I've just ordered one. They are quoting 4-6 week
delivery, apparently because of delays getting documentation from their
printer.

For a hundred bucks, it's not a bad way to get acquainted with Ada.
(THAT sounds like it ought to be on net.singles).

If you call them, ask to talk to Doug Wagner.

Ok.. I did call... and this package is a very limited version of their
already limited compiler.... their full compiler is $900+ ...
And they said they probably won't make certification until 1986.

Another (what I consider) draw back is that they use their own
linker... to be practical, it would be nice to have PC Dos
linker compatible object files....

Inspite the problems that they have now.. it might be worth
waiting to see the certified version.
