ANNOUNCING
THE FIRST ANNUAL Ada COMPILER FAIR
Sponsored by Los Angeles AdaTEC
DATE: Saturday, May 21, 1983 [Saturday after Anaheim NCC]
TIME: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
PLACE: Aerospace Corporation, 2350 E. El Segundo Blvd, El Segundo, CA
(just West of Aviation Blvd.)
This event will provide an opportunity for all interested vendors to display
their Ada Compilers to a variety of interested current and potential users.
The morning session will be devoted to short (no more than 15 minutes each)
introductions by the various vendors. After lunch there will be a Compiler
Evaluation Period, where each vendor will be asked to compile and run a set of
programs, under the supervision of our Panel of Experts. While the Experts
retire to make their evaluations, there will be an opportunity for attendees to
discuss the various systems with the vendors and other attendees. The AJPO has
tentatively accepted an invitation to provide an Expert and present a luncheon
speech.
A variety of Ada source programs will be provided to the vendors prior to the
day of the fair, to enable them to enter the programs into their respective
systems and respond back to the sponsors on the suitability of the programs.
These programs will be short (100 - 150 lines of code, not including comments)
and designed to test a wide range of the features of Ada. For more details on
entering the Compiler Review, or if you have programs you would like to submit
for consideration for the Compiler Review, please contact Ed Colbert (see
below).
SPECTATOR REGISTRATION: $5 prior to May 12; $10 thereafter. The luncheon is
$9.00. Please use the registration form on the following page, include your
check (made out to "LA AdaTEC"), and mail them to Cheryl Chapman:
