Looking at www.adaic.org with Netscape under NT 4.0 (large fonts) is
a disaster.

What appears is a nice graphical wallpaper-type background, with
just about zero content.

Then I notice that there is a column (about 10% of the screen) at the
left that has what looks to be navigation info (like many web sites),
but the text color is a very pale green, so that it is hardly noticed,
and the links (if they are links) are not clickable. I do have java
and javascript turned on.

Then I notice that I can scroll down, and when I do I find what I guess
is supposed to be the main part of the page -- the nice graphic about
"Ada Info & Software Engineering". But this is completely out of the
visible part of the screen when I open the page.

Why such a sick page?

Al

I don't know. It is totally stuffed with JavaScript. I don't know why.

Mike

Strange... a quick test with NS 4.78, NS 6.2, Opera 6.0, IE 6.0
with or without Webwasher (that filters some Javascripts)
and various font sizes produces a correct display, with
differences of course.

I don't have such a problem with Netscape Communicator 4.75-20000815
on Macintosh. I normally use 14 point type, but raised it to 24 based
on Al's report, and don't see much wrong. There was a some excessive
wallpaper waste at the top, but it was not too bad (I use tall windows).

I saw no left-hand navigation information above the main (non-wallpaper)
graphics. The links on the navigation are clickable. I always have
Java, Javascript and cookies disabled. Perhaps Al could try disabling
them and reporting back.

Yes, when I turn off javascript, the page looks ok.
