	Well, based upon
https://aviation.stackexchange.com/questions/54545/is-the-737s-autopilot-part-of-the-fms-or-is-it-a-separate-entity
"FMS" is the entire system including the displays, while the FMC is the
computer that is in charge of the flight management (waypoints, fuel usage,
etc. and distributing data to the other components) while the "autopilot"
is another component. I'd expect MCAS to be software in the FMC component.

I'm probably a bit sloppy in that I tend to read "FMS" as "Flight
Management SOFTWARE" which resides in the FMC (a 68040 processor -- the
code I worked on assumed 30MHz, but I've read an article indicating the
processor clock itself is twice that -- original FMC models were 20MHz
[40?]).
